Inside the sphere is a hand-folded crane made from traditional Japanese washi paper, artisanally printed by Asai Chōraku-en using traditional katagami—stencils originally used for dyeing kimono, now applied to decorate paper.
The nadeshiko (Japanese pink / garofano giapponese) pattern, delicately printed in white on a pale green (asagi-iro) background, has long been associated with the beauty of Japanese femininity, expressing grace, tenderness, and inner strength.
Its name evokes something so delicate it invites care—yet it quietly embodies resilience.
