Origami Crane Pendant in Glass – A Symbol of Health and Harmony
This delicate pendant features a tiny origami crane enclosed within a luminous glass sphere, gently reflecting the light with every movement.
In Japan, the crane (tsuru) is a symbol of longevity, good fortune, and hope.
Worn close to the heart, it carries a quiet wish—or becomes a meaningful gift for someone special.
Inside the sphere is a hand-folded crane made from traditional Japanese washi paper, artisanally printed by Asai Chōraku-en using traditional katagami—stencils originally used for dyeing kimono, now applied to decorate paper.
The nadeshiko (Japanese pink / garofano giapponese) pattern, delicately printed in white on a pale green (asagi-iro) background, has long been associated with the beauty of Japanese femininity, expressing grace, tenderness, and inner strength.
Its name evokes something so delicate it invites care—yet it quietly embodies resilience.
Green is the color of health, renewal, and well-being.
It is also the color of nature and healing, carrying the wish for balance and serenity for both body and mind.
