Wood and Washi Circle Earrings – Black & Gold Nadeshiko
These earrings celebrate the beauty of material, craftsmanship, and quiet meaning.
Each 3 cm wooden circle is covered on both sides with the same exquisite washi: a deep black handmade paper from Asai Chourakuen in Kyoto, decorated with hand-printed gold nadeshiko flowers (Japanese Pink).
The delicate blossoms seem to dance across the surface, catching the light with a soft shimmer. The contrast between matte black and luminous gold creates a refined, understated presence.
Nadeshiko carries a gentle sentiment in Japanese culture—its name evokes the image of “caressing a child,” and it is often associated with tenderness and care.
Because of this, some customers have chosen this piece as a meaningful gift from a mother to her daughter.
The washi paper is finished with a protective coating and is naturally resistant to water, making these earrings suitable even on rainy days.
Lightweight and comfortable, they offer a subtle yet distinctive accent.
Please note: due to the dark base color, the design may appear more understated when worn with dark hair.
