Origami Crane in Glass Orb – A Quiet Wish Within
A small origami crane rests inside a clear glass orb—
like a wish gently held, not sent away, but kept close.
Unlike a drifting message bottle, this piece carries a more intimate feeling:
a quiet thought, meant to stay with you.
The crane is carefully folded from a 2.7 cm square of hand-printed washi paper by Asai Chourakuen in Kyoto.
Each fold holds intention—an echo of the Japanese tradition where folding a crane is an act of hope, prayer, and gentle wishing.
The washi, in deep black with subtle patterns, enhances the quiet presence of the crane within the glass.
The necklace is finished with a black chirimen cord, decorated with small white sakura blossoms scattered like petals in the wind.
In Japan, sakura symbolizes the fleeting beauty of life—soft, ephemeral, and deeply cherished.
The cord is tied without metal fittings, making it suitable even for those with metal sensitivities.
Length can be adjusted freely by changing the position of the knot, allowing for versatile styling.
With its 80 cm length, it can be worn long or styled in different ways, following the natural movement of the body.
Lightweight and gentle, this piece is designed to be worn daily—
a quiet companion carrying a small, personal wish.
